Trying to find the correct method/tools seems to be the biggest hurdle as there is no information to be found that explains the process fully. I have left a message on the asking what tools he used as I think it may also work for our later model vans. I also seen another post on the forum here where Algo, extracted the SKC from the seperate IMMO 2 box. Not sure if it will work but we will see. I will post my results when I try the K+Can Commander and EEPROM Programmer with the KKL cable. I have one ordered but it takes time for it to arrive. I later read somewhere that the VAGCOM Blue KKL Cable is needed. Got it all setup with no comflicts but it is not able to communicate with my IMMO or ECU.
I tried using VAG K+ Can Commander V2.5 and VAG EEPROM Programmer with my VCDS cable and "VCDS Alterternative USB Driver Installation".
I have looked everywhere how to extract the Pin from the Cluster and ECU but no not been successful to date. I have the same problem of only having one key as well. I believe yours would be the same as they changed in 2000. I ran VCDS on the immobiliser and based on the Ross Tech website notes "Determining IMMO-ID & VIN, my Van has IMMO 3 which is a seperate box. How did you go with your Van and the keys? Not sure if that's normal, or why/how it has become damaged, but i'll need to fix that next before i can progress.īe greatful for any tips or additional help along the way, whilst i'm doing this I'm not sure if anyone can tell me which immobiliser is based on the pic and location?įinally, for now, i found the wiring for my OBD-II port is damaged/chafed, leaving at least one wire broken (see my other thread in electrical). I removed the plastic inset in front of the cluster, and i believe the black box to the left of the clocks is my immobiliser.
I'm going to update this as i go in case it helps anyone else, or in case anyone can help me along the way
There is no way i'm paying £220 per key I know i can get it cheaper elsewhere, but i'm now on a mission to do this myself. I've since tried another dealer but got quoted pretty much the same price as the first.
